Itinerary
August 26 - Day 1 -
USA Depart USA on own arrangement - Fly into Rome airport (FCO) and
fly home from Venice (VCE)
August 27 - Day 2 -
Rome Arrive Rome in the morning, you will be met at the airport and transfered to our hotel.
Time to relax or free eploration before our singles vacation begins at 6:00 pm with a Welcome Dinner
and a Rome at Night City Tour. Rome comes alive at night and you should not miss the opportunity to
see its most beautiful monuments illuminated.
August 28 - Day 3 -
Rome Put on your walking shoes for a full day tour of Rome. Visit the most
important wonders and sites of Ancient Rome. Of course there will be time for lunch and shopping.
St Peter's Basilica - is the center of christianity.
The opulence of the building's interior bears testimony to the wealth of the catholic church in the 16th
century. The Colosseum is probably the most impressive building of
the Roman empire. Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it was the largest building of the era.
The monumental structure has fallen into ruins, but even today it is an imposing and beautiful
sight. The Roman Forum was the marketplace of Rome and also the business district and civic
center. It was the center of political and social activity. Toss a coin in the Trevi
Fountain, the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in all of Rome.
August 29 - Day 4 - Rome,
Naples Discover history, art and archaeology on this fascinating day trip
to Naples and Pompeii. Naples is a lively and vibrant city, full of wonderful historical and
artistic treasures and narrow, winding streets with small shops. Stop for a photo at the impressive
Castel dell'Ovo (Egg Castle), then continue across Naples' historic center, past the Royal Palace,
Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, San Carlo Opera House, Gallery of Umberto I and imposing Castel Nuovo.
Leaving Naples cross the valley of Mount Vesuvius, passing through the villages of Ercolano (Herculaneum), Torre
del Greco and Torre Annunziata before arriving in Pompeii.
After lunch, step back in time as we walk through the ancient city of Pompeii. A
thrilling archaeological journey unfolds as we explore the ancient ruins which were buried in ashes after Mount
Vesuvius erupted almost 2000 years ago. Discover the everyday life of Rome's Imperial age at this UNESCO World
Heritage Site, and imagine the panic felt by the people in those last few minutes before the city was
buried.
August 30 - Day 5 -
Rome
Explore the Vatican this morning. Stroll the Vatican Museums, which house over 9 miles of the most extensive
collection of art in the world with our knowledgeable guide. Brilliantly decorated and lined with masterpieces, the
museums are brimming with treasures and history. Experience Michelangelo’s famous Creation of Adam with your
own eyes as we explore the Sistine Chapel and wander Raphael’s Rooms.
After taking in the Vatican Museums, encounter another of Michelangelo's masterpieces, La Pieta, in St Peter's
Basilica. Our tour ends in the magnificent St Peter's Square.
Afternoon at leisure to do all the things you wanted to do if you ever came
to Rome. Now is your chance.
August 31 - Day 6 - Rome,
Florence
Enjoy the Italian countryside as we travel from Rome to Florence. Arrive in Florence in time for a quick bite
before our afternoon sightseeing tour with a local guide
begins. Explore the birthplace of the Renaissance and watch as the rich tapestry of Florentine history and culture
unfold. Visit the most important sites between the two most famous hills of Florence - Piazzale Michelangelo and
Fiesole - highlighting the ancient heart of the city on the banks of the River Arno.
A distinctive feature of Florence's skyline is the dome of the cathedral (Duomo), Santa
Maria del Fiore. The Piazzle Michelangelo overlooks one of the
most famous and magnificent views of Florence.
The Basilica di San Miniato al Monte stands atop one of the highest points in Florence, and has been
described as the finest Romanesque structure in Tuscany and one of the most beautiful churches in Italy.
September 1 - Day 7 - Florence, San
Gimignano, Siena, Pisa Let's leave the city and
explore the Italian countryside on this full day tour:
San Gimignano - is a charming hill town which has preserved its medieval appearance more
completely than any other town in Tuscany. The town is famous for its
numerous towers which make it conspicuous from a great distance and provide one of the most remarkable sights in
Italy. It is possible to walk along the 13C walls from which there are fine views of the rich agricultural farm
land which surrounds the town.
Siena - Rich in art treasures and historic architecture, it is one of the most popular tourist
centers in Italy. It is also noted for its wine and for its marble. People
watch, eat lunch or sip a glass of wine at Piazza Del Campo
Pisa - renowned worldwide for its Leaning Tower, is a city full of
surprises; from the bright quays walled by noble buildings, to the web of narrow, medieval alleys leading to
the famous Piazza dei Miracoli. Standing in a large green expanse, Piazza del Duomo houses a
group of monuments known the world over. The four masterpieces of medieval architecture are the cathedral, the
baptistry, the campanile (the 'Leaning Tower') and the cemetery
September 2 - Day 8 -
Florence Morning at leisure to explore Florence on your own or with the new single friends you have
made. Visit many of the museums and see Michaelangelo's David. Stroll the streets and shop the stores or
markets.
Tonight is your chance to learn how to cook a classic Tuscan dinner in Florence - and then eat
it, matched with Tuscan wines! Skilled chefs take us through each step, from starter to dessert, and at
the end of your fun-filled Italian cooking lesson you can take the recipes away to try them at
home. After working up a healthy appetite in the kitchen, it's on to the dining room where the prepared
dishes will be served for dinner, accompanied by matching wines.
September 3 - Day 9 - Florence,
Venice Another chance to admire the beautiful Italian scenery as we travel from Florence to
Venice this morning.
Venice is like an open-air museum, and this afternoon we will
take a boat to Piazza San Marco, St. Mark's Square. Enter St. Mark's Basilica to discover the
awe-inspiring gold mosaics. Our guide will unlock its secrets as we walk through the "Pala D'Oro"
(golden altar) with masterpieces by generations of Venetian goldsmiths.

4 - Day 10 - Venice Our exciting day in Venice begins with a walking tour highlighting all the
important monuments, from San Marco Square to the Rialto Bridge. Learn the history behind the famous landmarks,
including the basilica's Byzantine heritage and the adjoining prisons of the Doge's
Palace.
Leaving the crowds behind enter a labyrinth of narrow passageways, alleys, canals and
delicate bridges. Highlights include Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Marco Polo's House, an old merchant's warehouse and
the most beautiful well-head in Venice, before finishing the tour near the Rialto Bridge.
Next, enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Grand Canal of Venice. Along the way you will learn
the history of the stunning palaces and churches that line the famous canal, as well as anecdotes about the famous
people who have resided on Venice's most important 'street'. Savoring a glass of sparkling prosecco wine, you'll
also enjoy a fascinating tour of the minor canals of Venice.
Time for a Gondola ride, last minute shopping or relaxing before our Farewell
Diiner!

5 - Day 11 - Depart Italy Enjoy a final breakfast with new single friends then
say Arrivedercci to Italy as we make our way back home and the end of another great singles
