The Grand Circle Island Tour
- Sunday
The Grand Circle Island Tour is
Oahu's most popular narrated tour, and a great way to get oriented to the island if it's your first visit—or learn
new things even if you've been to Oahu before. We will cover 120 miles of Oahu, from end to end, in this day-long
trip.
Starting in Waikiki , we will
travel aboard an air-conditioned bus through the upscale neighborhoods of East Oahu, through Hawaii Kai, and
along the rugged southeast coastline past the Halona Blowhole and Sandy Beach. See the cliffs of Makapuu with their
stunning view of Rabbit Island, continue through the Hawaiian Homestead lands of Waimanalo, and then into laidback
Kailua town. Travel up the tree-lined Pali highway for a stop at the 1,186-foot Pali Lookout, the site of King
Kamehameha's last battle and unsurpassed views of the windward coast.
From there, continue on to the
North Shore, passing through rural towns like Haleiwa and Waimea Bay, where the winter surf can create legendary
30-foot waves. We will get to see other famous surfing spots like Sunset Beach, Ehukai, and the Banzai Pipeline.
The tour continues past the quaint towns of Kahuku and Laie, home of the Mormon Temple and the Polynesian Cultural
Center. Last but not least, we will continue through Punaluu all the way to Kaneohe town before heading back to
Waikiki after a full day's sightseeing.
Our day-long tour also includes a stop for lunch (cost not included) at the Coral
Kingdom restaurant and gift shop on the windward side of the island, plus a stop at the Dole Plantation in central
Oahu
Hanauma Bay Snorkeling - Monday
Hanauma Bay is a protected marine life conservation area and
one of the world's best places for novice snorkelers. "The water is very clear once you get away from the beach. …
You can feel the waves but it is a very easy swim." Within the bay's calm waters, you can swim through a coral reef
with more than 450 species of vibrant tropical fish, a quarter of which are native to Hawaii.
Our half-day excursion includes round-trip transportation from Waikiki (about 25 minutes each way) and all the
equipment we will need. You'll get a silicone-tempered mask, "J"-type snorkels, and endurance vinyl acetate
fins, plus a defogger for your masks—all of it sanitized after each use. Additional snorkeling accessories (like
underwater cameras) are available onsite for an additional cost, and you can bring your own gear if you prefer.
En route to Hanamua Bay, a DVD presentation of Hawaiian marine life will get you inspired with a glimpse of the
fish and sea creatures you might encounter. Once we arrive, our driver will give us an overview of how to use
our gear. There is also a 10-minute mandatory orientation video that runs on the half-hour.
The walk to the beach is a bit steep, so keep that in mind when deciding what to bring with you. Lockers are
available on the beach, and there food at the top of the hill.
Pearl Harbor &
Honolulu City Tour - Wednesday
The Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour is one of Oahu's most popular sightseeing experiences and
gives you a special look at Honolulu's history.
We will travel first to historic Pearl Harbor, where we will have time to tour the renovated Pearl Harbor
Memorial Museum and Visitor Center, the hub for all four Pearl Harbor historic sites: WWII Valor in the Pacific
National Monument (USS Arizona Memorial), USS Bowfin Submarine Museum, USS Missouri Memorial, and the Pacific
Aviation Museum.
After our visit, we are off on a fully narrated tour of Honolulu city highlights. We will pass Punchbowl Crater,
part of an extinct volcano and now home to the National Cemetery of the Pacfic. Downtown see the state capitol
and Washington Place, former home of Hawaiian royalty and Hawaii's governors.
A stop at the King Kamehameha statue allows time to take photos. View Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on
American soil (and an attraction that you can visit later using your Go Oahu Card), and Kawaiahao Church, where
services are still held in the native Hawaiian language. Our tour winds up with a drive through Chinatown before
returning to Waikiki in the early afternoon.
Diamond Head Crater Hike - Thusday Morning
The most famous volcanic crater in the world is Mt. Leahi, better known as Diamond
Head, and is located along the southeast coast of Oahu, at the end of Waikiki. In the early 1800s, British sailors mistakenly thought the calcite crystals in the lava rocks
they saw glimmering from a distance were diamonds, hence the name. Diamond Head is a volcano that has been extinct
for 150,000 years. The crater is 3,520 in diameter with a 760 foot summit.
The hike is considered easy to moderate in exertion.
It is certainly worth the breathtaking, unparalleled view of the coastline. A must see for any
visitor!
Hawaiian Luau - Friday Night

Kick off your shoes and Go Native! Discover the way a luau was
meant to be and still is at Germaine's Too Good To Miss Luau.
Begin your final evening with a traditional
welcome, an Hawaiian Shell Lei. The sounding of the conch shell announces the beginning of the evening’s Luau
festivities! As the imu (underground oven) is uncovered, the savory aroma of the Kalua Pua’a (roasted pig) reminds
us that dinner is soon to be served.
